Education

**Hawkins County's educational system** includes 12 elementary schools, 3 middle schools (6-8 grades), and two comprehensive high schools with fully equipped vocational-technical departments. The educational system has an average daily attendance of 7,501 and graduates approximately 400 yearly. Vocational-Technical training is offered at the Tennessee Technology Centers at Phipps Bend, Morristown and at the Northeast State Technical Institute in neighboring Sullivan County.
